My name is Nicole.  I have been a licensed childcare provider for 12 yrs now. I am also the founding Director of soon to be Precious Ones Learning Center to be open by June 1st 2012.  Then we will relocate our home daycare and transition into our NEW STATE OF THE ART I am the mother of two  girls aged  7 and 14, a boy named Logan who is 4, and two wonderful step sons aged 9 and 11. I chose to do daycare when my oldest child was 1.5 so that I could stay home with her.  But prior to that I worked as a dental assistant and had the struggle of finding quality daycare.  So I started up my own daycare 12 years ago and today is going strong.  I have had the pleasure of caring for hundreds of children in Lawrence and feel blessed to have a small part in each and every one of their lives.  During these 12 years I have built a great reputation and am continuously filled with client referrals.   I also, have two assistants working for us from 8-5 so I have a full-time assistant here Monday through Friday.    We are located right near Sunflower elementary and SW Junior high(2blocks away).  We have met all requirements to operate including the fire marshal and health dept.    

    We have taken several childcare classes and are CPR and first Aid certified.   You can view my classes I completed under the link In-Service trainings.    I served two terms on the CCPC(Child Care providers Coalition of Kansas)  On that board only 9 childcare providers of the state of kansas were elected to serve on that board.  Through that we took extra training classes and also helped train other providers to do their best.

          You  can take comfort in knowing there is lots of  attention to your children and more than one adult.   My assistants have to have the same kind or training and meet the same requirements as me for the State of Ks and has had a full extensive KBI background check. So rest assure your lil ones are safe and well cared for.

    I am currently working on my CDA(Child Development Associate Credential)  it includes 120 credit hours of early education classes.  I am really enjoying all the knowledge I am gaining from this program and eager to utilize it in my childcare program.  I am also currently enrolled in college to obtain my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

       WE DO OFFER TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM SCHOOL AND CURRENTLY DO SUNSET HILL AND SUNFLOWER SCHOOL, but WILL CONSIDER OTHER SCHOOLS.    I am pleased to offer a smoke-free home for your children.  Neither my husband nor I smoke and visitors are not allowed to smoke in our home either.
